The English department for foreign students is integrated in the general campus. You will live in halls of residence together with American students.

Columbia University, New York
This famous Ivy-League-University campus is situated in Upper Manhattan. Columbia stretches across several blocks and with its colleges, stores, snack bars and restaurants it's a small village in its own right. The American Language Program (ALP) is an integral part of the university's green, leafy Morningside Heights campus. The ALP, founded in 1911, is one of the oldest English programs in the USA.

Courses: 4 to 13 weeks; 16 x 50 minutes lessons per week plus 4 lessons in the language lab.

Michigan State University, East Lansing
The university, located some sixty miles from Detroit, is rightly regarded as one of the most beautiful in the country. Illustrious Michigan State University has some of the best facilities for learning, sports and leisure. The English Language Center is fully integrated in the main campus and has a multimedia learning center, video laboratory, and audio language laboratory. The town nestles around the campus, so shops and entertainment are close by.

Courses: English Language Center: 4 to 16 weeks; 20 x 50 minutes lessons per week for 4-week courses (5 days a week) or 20 x 60 of lessons for 7 to 16 week courses (4 days a week). Students wishing to study at MSU may later move on to the English for academic purposes program.

University of California, San Diego
The UCSD campus is located at La Jolla, some twenty minutes north of San Diego. This tourist centre and surfing paradise rules supreme from the cliff top high above the broad beaches of the Pacific. The 10-week programs have access to multimedia computer learning centres and a language laboratory.

Courses: English Language Program, 4 to 10 weeks: Conversation Plus (4 weeks with 20 lessons per week), Communication & Culture (10 weeks with 20 lessons per week), Intensive Courses (10 weeks with 25 lessons a week) for Cambridge and TOEFL preparation, Intensive Academic, University and Professional Studies. 10-week courses start with an orientation week and so involve a total stay of 11 weeks.
