Dinghy Sailing for Beginners, Vancouver

Safe, standardized instruction in the Canadian Yachting Association’s “White Sail” introductory standards.You can expect to learn sailing terminology, points of sail, tacking, gybing, righting a capsized boat and knots. First week completes the “White Sail I” certificate, second week “White Sail II”.
Duration: 5 x 3 hours per week

Keelboat Sailing, Toronto

This course is designed to introduce you to the pleasures and enjoyment of keelboat sailing. Taught in a very relaxed atmosphere, the emphasis is on safety and enjoyment.
Duration: 2 lessons x 3 hours
Included: Sailboat rental, wetsuit, life jacket, instruction; certification

Yachting for Beginners, Auckland

A totally hands-on learn to sail course, in which you will learn the fundamentals of sailing, including helming the 32 foot “French Connection” under sail, sail handling, motor use, man overboard, anchoring and safety procedures. On completion of the module you receive a Royal Yachting Association Logbook and an internationally recognised “Start Yachting” certificate.
Duration: One week, 10 lessons
Included: All materials are provided, including sailing gloves and full wet weather gear, if required
Not included: RYA Logbook and Certificate Fee
