Accommodation

In Dublin, students can choose between staying with host families, in hostels, halls of residence (students staying more than 12 weeks) or in hotels.

Host families: There are many types of host families - from families with children and pensioner couples to single-person households (in most cases older landladies). All host families are carefully selected and regularly inspected. When placing students, also special dietary, health or religious requirements are taken into consideration.
Most host families are located in the Northern suburbs of the city. Travel time to school is up to 30-50 minutes. A few host families live closer and within walking distance of the school.
Dinner is usually taken between 6.00 and 7.00 p.m. and offers the best opportunity to converse with members of the host family.

Hostels: Generally hostel accommodation (15 minutes walk from college) consists of dormitories with 4 – 20 beds per room. Fully-furnished kitchen facilities are provided. This type of accommodation is more suitable for short-stay students.

Hotels: There are 2, 3, 4 and 5 star hotels within 20 minutes walk from the college.
