Weekend excursion to Barcelona

3 days/2 nights
EUR 200

Dates:
1 x per month, departures on Thursday, return on Saturday (subject to sufficient interest)

Program:

Barcelona is the prosperous, modern and, at the same time, traditional capital of Catalonia. With some 1.7 million inhabitants, Barcelona is also the second largest town in Spain and is regarded as its economic, commercial and cultural center. The best way to get to know the town is to stroll along the Modernism road. Walking through Barcelona is like walking through a living architectural museum. Since the Olympic Games in 1992, the town has expanded towards the see. Old run-down warehouses and industrial chimneys made way for green parks and public beaches were created. Barcelona does, however, not only provide art, culture and architecture during the day. By nightfall, the town with its numerous bars, Tapas bars, first-class restaurants and clubs turns into a paradise for revelers.

Day 1: Meet and depart by coach to Barcelona in the early afternoon. Arrive in Barcelona around 18.30 and check into hotel. The evening is free. We recommend a tour of Tapas bars, followed by clubbing in the mare Nostrum or Barcelonetta (2 entertainment and shopping centers near the beach).

Day 2: Morning free to explore. Start the day with a stroll along the Ramblas or walk through the narrow streets of the Gothic quarter. Around 16.00 hrs. We meet in the Olympic Park to visit Park Güell. Güell Park was planned by Antonio Gaudi. Benches made from shiny ceramic tiles or the famous steps with a colorful dragon conjure up a magical atmosphere. Next, visit of Gaudi´s main project, the Sagrada Familia and visit of the residence “La Pedrera” on the Passeig de Garcia. The evening is free to explore the town.

Day 3: Check out and leave bags in hostel. The morning is free to do some last shopping or stroll once more through the streets and over the squares of the Gothic quarter.

Price includes
Return coach trip from Valencia to Barcelona including expert tour guide. Accommodation including breakfast in the Mare Nostrum hostel (rooms with several beds and communal bathrooms). Entrance fee to Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. Meals are not included..

Excursions are organized by a partner firm. Changes to the program are also possible without prior notification. The terms and conditions of the partner firm shall apply.
